when i am 20 and devin is 18 and we have saved enough money we are going to buy a pretty house for both of us to live in it. i imagine it with a big backyard full of plants and trees and plenty of shade and it’ll be in southern california by the beach were the weather is warm, but there is always a cool breeze.
we’re going to adopt a baby monkey and he’s going to wear baby diapers and drink out of a little bottle. we’re going to name the monkey andrew after this boy that goes to our school who’s poems devin admires. only we’ll call him little andy.
and it will always be summer at our house. i think i’ll buy a futon and put a big window in where you can look out and see the ocean. and in the late afternoon, when it’s hot, but not too hot, devin and i can lie on the futon together and read or nap or watch conan on comedy central or just be with each other. i think i’ll wear a single flower in my hair every morning and he’ll always have his cowlick in the back of his hair. i can walk around in a string bikini all day and he can go topless, but little andy will be confined to his white baby diaper…maybe someday i’ll buy colored baby diapers and he can wear blue since he’ll be a boy and i’m gender discriminate like that.
anyway. this sounded better in my head.
